Realbotix Corp., a frontrunner in AI-powered humanoid robotics, has announced a strategic collaboration with Radium, a company specializing in serverless inference platforms. This partnership aims to significantly enhance the real-time conversational capabilities of Realbotix’s next-generation robotic companions, addressing a critical need for seamless, emotionally intelligent interactions in the rapidly evolving AI companion market.

The core of this collaboration lies in leveraging Radium’s serverless inference platform to power Realbotix’s emotionally intelligent AI applications. Realbotix designs and manufactures AI-powered humanoid robots, such as their flagship model “Aria,” which are intended to improve human experiences through connection, companionship, and intelligent interaction. These robots are being deployed in various settings, including customer service roles, with Aria recently making its debut at a Tix4 kiosk in Las Vegas to provide real-time recommendations and assistance. Realbotix emphasizes realistic, customizable robots built for entertainment, customer service, and personal well-being, featuring patented AI and robotics technologies for lifelike expression, motion, and social engagement. They have also integrated multilingual capabilities into their AI, broadening potential global customer service applications.

The challenge for Realbotix, and indeed for the broader AI companion industry, is delivering realistic conversations without noticeable artificial delays that break the illusion of interaction. This is where Radium’s serverless inference platform comes into play. Serverless architecture is particularly well-suited for AI applications due to its ability to offer automatic scaling, a pay-as-you-go model, and the elimination of server management. For real-time AI, low latency is paramount, as even minuscule delays can make interactions feel unnatural or frustrating. Radium’s platform, including its RadiumDeploy with GPU auto-scaling, ensures consistent performance even during peak traffic, providing the “lightning-fast conversations” crucial for emotionally intelligent AI.

Adam Hendin, CEO of Radium, highlighted that their platform abstracts away the complexity of real-time dialogue, allowing Realbotix to concentrate on the user experience. While Realbotix initially used Radium’s platform for training its language and vision models, these models now reside entirely on Radium’s cloud for production inference. This strategic move frees Realbotix engineers to focus on developing richer AI personalities rather than managing underlying infrastructure and inference engines. Andrew Kiguel, CEO of Realbotix, affirmed that Radium provides the necessary speed, reliability, and simplicity to scale conversational AI effectively.

The collaboration reflects a growing industry trend where companies developing interactive, user-facing generative AI products require robust inference platforms capable of low latency and high concurrency. The demand for AI companions, which in 2025 are described as sophisticated digital beings offering emotional support, practical advice, and constant companionship, underscores the importance of seamless, human-like interaction. Radium’s advanced AI infrastructure, which has been validated by research partners like MIT and Stanford for significantly faster training and inference compared to traditional hyperscalers, positions it as a key enabler for such advancements.

This partnership between Realbotix and Radium marks a significant step in the evolution of AI companions, promising more natural, responsive, and emotionally engaging interactions that could redefine the role of robots in daily life, from customer service to personal well-being.
