PTC & Nvidia Partner to Boost AI Product Design with 3D Simulation
In a significant stride towards revolutionizing product development, PTC and NVIDIA have deepened their collaboration, integrating NVIDIA Omniverse technologies directly into PTC’s leading Creo computer-aided design (CAD) and Windchill product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions. This strategic expansion, announced around late July and early August 2025, aims to dramatically accelerate the design and simulation of complex products, particularly the foundational hardware underpinning the burgeoning artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
The core of this enhanced partnership lies in embedding NVIDIA Omniverse OpenUSD and RTX libraries within Creo and Windchill. This integration empowers engineers and designers with real-time, photorealistic simulation and immersive visualization capabilities directly within their familiar PLM environment. Previously, high-fidelity 3D simulations often required specialized tools and data transfers, creating bottlenecks in the design cycle. Now, an interactive, real-time viewport in Windchill will allow users to access these advanced simulations without leaving their primary workspace, fostering a more fluid and efficient workflow.
This seamless integration extends beyond individual design tasks, fostering enhanced collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. By connecting Windchill with Omniverse’s powerful simulation platform, teams can visualize and interact with the most current Creo design data in a shared, immersive environment.
