Sola Solutions secures $17.5M for agentic AI automation platform
Sola Solutions Inc., a burgeoning platform specializing in agentic artificial intelligence for process automation, has successfully secured $17.5 million in early-stage funding, marking a significant step towards the launch and scaling of its enterprise offerings. This Series A round was spearheaded by Kimberly Tan and Jennifer Li at Andreessen Horowitz and elevates the company’s total capital raised to $21 million, building on a prior $3.5 million seed investment led by Sarah Guo at Conviction.
At its core, Sola’s platform provides businesses with intelligent AI agents and intuitive tooling, employing a no-code, visual interface that empowers non-technical users to define, modify, and manage complex workflows. Unlike conventional automation systems that merely execute a predefined sequence of actions, Sola’s technology leverages AI to continuously learn, make autonomous decisions, and self-optimize in real time. This capability stems from the concept of agentic AI, which refers to sophisticated AI systems designed to act independently to achieve specific objectives, proactively making decisions based on acquired knowledge. These agents transcend the limitations of traditional rule-based AI by handling intricate tasks with minimal human oversight, capable of planning, executing, and learning from their outcomes.
Jessica Wu, co-founder and chief executive of Sola, highlighted the transformative potential of this technology. She explained that teams can simply record a process once, and Sola converts it into an agentic bot that operates, adapts, and improves autonomously, interacting with various screens and platforms much like a human user would. Wu elaborated on diverse applications, from enabling logistics companies to automate shipment updates and assisting law firms with complex filings without requiring developer intervention, to helping healthcare providers streamline billing processes across disparate systems.
Wu emphasized that these are not mere prototypes or pilot programs. Sola’s bots are already deployed in production environments, managing critical workflows daily. She noted that this approach offers a significant leap from fragile scripts or exhaustive specifications, enabling faster work execution that mirrors how people naturally operate.
Sola’s innovative approach integrates large language models with computer vision to intelligently interpret user behavior and generate robust enterprise workflows. This powerful combination allows non-technical users to effortlessly create and deploy automations without needing specialized skills or expert assistance.
