Meta's AI Dubbing Expands Reach for Reels Creators
Meta has officially rolled out its advanced AI-powered dubbing feature for Instagram and Facebook Reels globally, marking a significant stride in its long-term commitment to breaking down digital language barriers. This innovative tool automatically translates and dubs video content between English and Spanish, meticulously cloning the creator’s voice to maintain their authentic tone and style, and offering an optional lip-sync function for a more natural viewing experience.
The feature is now accessible to Facebook creators with at least 1,000 followers and all public Instagram accounts in supported regions. Creators can easily activate the “Translate your voice with Meta AI” option before publishing a Reel, allowing them to preview the AI-generated dubbed version and toggle the lip-sync functionality as needed. Viewers will see a clear notification indicating that the content has been AI-translated, ensuring transparency. This empowers creators to effortlessly expand their content’s reach, connecting with new, diverse audiences who might not speak their original language.
This rollout is deeply integrated into Meta’s extensive AI language research and development efforts.
